Dr. Shamanur Shivashankarappa, Chairman of JJM Medical College and for decades Secretary of the Bapuji Educational Association, passed away in Bengaluru on 14 December 2025, at the age of 94.
In April 2022 he was felicitated on completing fifty years as Secretary of the Association, the body that founded and runs the college.
